Datalliance VMI Volume Grows to $1.8B in First Half of 2005

  • Vendor Managed Inventory provider processes $1.8 billion in sales during period
  • Customer base expands in the electrical components, electronics, heavy and medium duty truck parts, and automotive industries

Cincinnati, Ohio, July 29, 2005 - Enterprise Data Management (EDM) today announced that the sales volume processed through Datalliance grew to $1.8 billion in the first half of 2005. In addition to this increase, the dollar value of inventory being managed increased to $763 million and the number of SKUs being tracked increased to 4.7 million. EDM also increased the number of suppliers. These customers represent the electrical components, electronics, heavy and medium duty truck parts, and automotive industries.

Carl Hall, president of EDM, stated, "During the first half of 2005, we realized significant growth in all aspects of our Datalliance VMI service. This positive trend is the result of the continued acceptance of VMI as a critical supply chain element by many industries, the increased success and usage of VMI by our existing customers, and the additional VMI transaction volume generated by our new customers.
