New Release of Datalliance Enhances Performance Reporting and Increases Planner Productivity
Cincinnati, Ohio, June 20, 2007 - Datalliance® today announced the immediate availability of the latest release of Datalliance, a comprehensive internet-based VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) e-commerce service. Enhancements that improve performance reporting and increase planner productivity are the highlights of this new release. All of the enhancements in this release support Datalliance's ongoing development objectives of enhancing user productivity, improving information access through flexible reporting, and incorporating technology to simplify and reduce the overall cost to implement and operate Datalliance.
Enhancement Highlights:
"Alert" Enhancements Increase Planner Productivity
- The "Product Life Cycle" alert has been added to assist the Planner in making better replenishment decisions for active items suggested for order, that based on their position within the product life cycle, may warrant closer review. Four existing alerts (Excess Available, Item Suggested Larger than Expected Quantity, Excessive Pre Days Supply, and Item Not Sold in Recent History) have all been enhanced allowing the Planner more visibility and flexibility, improving Planner productivity.
Performance Reporting
- Significant enhancements to performance reporting, including the ability to generate new and existing performance reports for groups of Locations based on their position within a Location hierarchy. In addition, a new Supplier level E-mail report has also been added that provides a summary view of monthly performance for all Distributors by Location.
- The OP Management report has been enhanced to identify new 'exceptions' and reduce the number of items to be reviewed by eliminating 'noise' for existing tests.
Product Life Cycle Code Added
- A "Product Life Cycle" code has been added to the Supplier Inventory File. The Datalliance system will use the Product Life Cycle value of an item to trigger an Alert should the item appear on a suggested order, exclude the item from a suggested return, and/or exclude the item from the Suggest Stock e-mail report based on how its Life Cycle 'stage' has been defined by the Supplier.
