Datalliance Realizes Significant Vendor Managed Inventory Growth for Fiscal 2007
- Total SKU'S managed by Datalliance increased to 9.2 million.
- Number of customer locations using Datalliance VMI service increased to 19,500.
Cincinnati, Ohio, February 8, 2008 -
Datalliance®, the leading independent provider of Vendor Managed
Inventory (VMI) services, today announced significant growth statistics
for both total SKU's managed and customer locations. Total SKU's
managed by the Datalliance VMI service increased from 6.8 million in
2006 to 9.2 million in 2007 - an increase of 36%. The number of
customer locations utilizing the Datalliance VMI service increased from
5,700 sites in 2006 to 19,500 sites in 2007 - an increase of 242%.
Growth in 2007 was generally
balanced between existing customers expanding their VMI programs and
the addition of new customers implementing Datalliance VMI for the
first time. The increase in the number of customer locations confirms
the value that suppliers are realizing from VMI and the increase in the
number of SKU's managed means that they are also managing more of their
business with VMI. Growth was recorded in major industry segments
including heavy duty/automotive, electrical, and consumer packaged
goods.
"We are pleased that our existing
customers continue to derive value from their VMI programs", stated
Carl Hall, Datalliance president. "The combined growth in new locations
and SKU's is the truest measure of the value that they are experiencing
from their VMI programs. Equally important to us is the fact that VMI
continues to be identified as one of the primary supply chain
applications that can drive business value quickly and cost-effectively
for both suppliers and their customers. We look for 2008 to be another
successful year for VMI, Datalliance, and our customers."
