Datalliance Delivers New Vendor Managed Inventory Education Program
- New program to feature ongoing series
of educational topics, delivered via webinar format, for Vendor Managed
Inventory customers
- Datalliance Customer Care team to develop and deliver the program
- First Webinar in series to be held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2pm EST.
Cincinnati, Ohio, February 11, 2008 -
Datalliance®, the leading independent provider of Vendor Managed
Inventory (VMI) services, today announces a new Customer Care program
to provide educational sessions covering a broad range of Vendor
Managed Inventory topics. In this ongoing series, Datalliance industry
and technology experts will share their knowledge and experience to
help customers get the most out of their VMI implementation. This
information will help customers take maximum advantage of the
Datalliance functionality. The new program, delivered via webinar
format, is available to all Datalliance VMI customers at no cost.
Sessions will be offered at least quarterly and will be archived for
future "on demand" reference via the Datalliance website.
The new webinar educational series
will focus on helping VMI Planners understand the tools that are
available to help them be more exception driven. These exception based
tools fall into the general categories of Order Point (OP) Management,
Purchase Order (PO) Worksheet Alerts, and Product Activity Errors. Due
to the critical nature of having appropriate inventory levels and the
business variables that can change throughout the VMI process (specific
to an item, product lines, or general business parameters), OP
Management is the exception driven functionality that deserves the
initial attention. Within OP Management, several common categories of
exceptions such as order point/demand spikes will be the focus of the
early webinar sessions. The PO Worksheet Review process, Product
Activity Errors, and Reporting will be covered in subsequent sessions.
Through this ongoing educational series, Datalliance will help their
customer VMI Planners to better understand the tools available to
recognize and effectively deal with exceptions within the VMI process.
"Over time, we have developed a
significant amount of expertise regarding the development, delivery and
use of Vendor Managed Inventory," stated Bob Jennings, Datalliance VP
Sales/Marketing. "Our new webinar education program provides the
perfect vehicle to share this knowledge with our customers to allow
them to get the most out of their individual VMI programs. By archiving
the sessions and making them available on demand, our customers can
access the topics they need, when they need them."
The first webinar in this series
will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2pm EST. The topic will be
Order Point (OP) Management: overview and op/demand spikes category
review.
